Pier 35 Green Wall and Recreational Structure at the East River Waterfront Esplanade
The development at Pier 35 is part of the redevelopment of the East River Waterfront Esplanade, a 2-mile-long area along the East River in New York City. The steel structure supporting the green wall is a geometrically complex structure of HSS which was galvanized and then painted. Many components were designated as Architecturally Exposed Structural Steel (AESS). To ensure accurate fit and alignment on site the structure was assembled in progressive sections at out plant prior to shipment.
